When, Where & How Much

We have four choir groups meeting regularly in venues throughout Norfolk. Have a look below to see which group is closest to you – along with a list of days, times and venues.

Membership of Invidia Voices is just £30.00 per month (or £25.00 for under 18’s and over 65’s). For this fantastic price you get all of the following:

· The opportunity to attend up to four rehearsals a week, all at venues with excellent facilities, free parking nearby and instruction from a fully trained vocal coach and musical director.

· The scores, arrangements and recordings of songs that we sing, including the rights to sing and perform them. Some clubs and societies charge a price per use of a song, score or script, however with Invidia Voices; that is all included in your membership.

· Performances; many of our performances are outdoors and with that carries the need for public liability insurance. This is all included in the price of your membership, should something happen to you or to another person whilst we are performing, you are safe in knowledge that you are covered!

· Equipment use. During rehearsals and performances we use many pieces of equipment such as microphones, PA systems and lighting. All of these items are thoroughly checked, tested and repaired if necessary to make them safe for you to use.

· Online member’s areas. On the Invidia website there is a member’s area that you can log in to. This is a special feature of our choir and there you can access all of the scores, backing tracks and pre-recorded guide vocals for all of the songs we have ever worked on. This is a valuable resource as it means you can practice all of the pieces we work on at home, thus extending your experience of the choir beyond rehearsals.

· Online social community. We have a thriving presence on Facebook and we encourage our members to make use of this. Here they can talk to each other even if they do not attend the same rehearsal group. In fact great friendships have been made this way! Members also use Facebook to arrange car shares to rehearsals and performances, nights out and parties. There is even an “Invidia Freecycle” where members, sell, swap or upcycle belongings.

· Social events. We frequently host social events for the choir, including a summer ball, Christmas parties, and nights out. Your membership covers the cost of the majority of these events and if any extra payment is necessary, it is at a super reduced rate.

· Workshops and enrichment sessions. We often hold signing workshops and in the past we have held enrichment workshops including health and nutrition, confidence, performing with a band and song writing. All of these sessions are free for choir members, or are offered at a super reduced rate. For example last year we held a health and nutrition workshop with renowned health guru Karl Whitfield. Normally sessions like this would cost up to £50, whereas Invidia Voices were able to offer it to members for a mere £10

· Friendly and approachable support network. As part of Invidia you have direct access to a support team who manage and organise the choir. They are always happy to take your calls if you have any questions, or if you just want to chat about the choir. They are also professional musicians/performers so you are safe in the knowledge you are getting advice and support from people who know their stuff about music! The choir also has a number of ‘buddies’ who are long standing members of the choir who will help you out at rehearsals, make you feel comfortable and be your guide during your first few sessions.
