FAQs

Can I bring a friend?

Absolutely, we always welcome new members to the Invidia Voices choir. Simply ask your friend to sign up for one of our free taster sessions and they can attend two rehearsals completely free to try out the choir.

Can children join Invidia Voices?

Yes they can! Although we welcome all ages, we would say that the singing and teaching level is suited for those over 10 years old and any young person under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. For our full policy on accepting children into the choir, please read our Terms and Conditions.

What kind of songs will I be singing with Invidia Voices?
Invidia Voices has only two rules for our songs – they must be fun and funky. Over the years we have sung great numbers such as Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen, Livin’ on a Prayer by Bon Jovi and Titanium by David Guetta. If you would like a sneak peak of the songs planned for next term, then check out our Invidia Voices Calendar for 2017

Is there any kind of audition needed to join Invidia Voices?
Invidia Voices has been set up to cater to individuals of all talents, who may be at varying stages in their musical career, from absolute beginners to seasoned singers. As a result there is no kind of trial, audition or examination before you join the group, all you have to do is turn up and start having fun.

Do I need to have any musical ability or will I be asked to read music?
The majority of our members joined Invidia Voices with absolutely no musical ability whatsoever, and quickly felt at home with our arrangements. We do not require anyone to read music and tailor all of our sessions around getting you to sing as part of a group.

Is there ever going to be a situation where I am asked to sing alone?
We promise to never single you out at any of our rehearsals. Unless someone specifically applies to be a soloist, we do not make anyone sing on their own in private and especially not in front of the group. However, you are welcome to ask about individual tuition if you so desire.

Where do the Invidia Choirs take place?
Since we started in 2012, we have consistently grown the number of choir groups we host. An overview of all our locations is featured on our Groups Page.
